Transient Thermal Simulation

Fieldhouse Engineering use cutting edge simulation software to model any heating system. Both transient and steady state simulations are used depending o the requirements of the system. These simulations have the capability of analysing any combination of conduction, radiation and convection to yield the most accurate results for the given application. Almost any fluids can be modelled alongside any combination of solids, this allows Fieldhouse Engineering to analyse virtually any thermal system.

For example, a study was run on an industrial heating chamber with a small barrel that was partially filled with water. This heating chamber was initially designed to work with a much larger barrel. It was therefore unknown how it would behave with this smaller barrel, so a thermal analysis was essential to ensure no regions would overheat and to find the optimum power inputs to heat this water in a specific time. The setup and analysis are shown in the following video .

Fieldhouse Engineering will produce a comprehensive engineering report for your specific system to suggest any design improvements or power optimisations that become apparent from the simulation analysis.
