Domestic Lift

Fieldhouse Engineering have developed a domestic lift product from scratch. The process started with the product requirements set out by Liberation lifts. The first stage was to develop a detailed CAD design along with a set of engineering calculations and structural simulations to ensure the product would meet all lifting requirements.

The design was fabricated and assembled in our workshop. A mezzanine floor was constructed to simulate the first floor of a house. This allowed for rapid product testing and physical iteration on aspects that required further development.

The electronic control systems were refined to optimise functionality, reliability and ensure that all safety standards were met.

The software for the use interface was written and optimised to suit the requirements set out by Liberation Lifts. For example, customers can chose lighting colours, update home screen images and record the number of trips they have completed in their lift.

Fieldhouse Engineering then fully tested the systems to the expected 10 year lifecycle of the lift. this was done by automating the repeated actions of components such that they would experience a years worth of use in a matter of days. Once this testing was completed Liberation Lifts could begin selling the product: https://www.liberationlifts.com/

Fieldhouse Engineering offer the complete package when it comes to product development. We have a wide range of technical expertise in house along with the facility to rapidly manufacture, test and optimise products. This time efficient process makes us the most cost effective route to market for many new products.
