Fieldhouse Engineering can perform advanced convection and radiation simulations . A wide range of materials can be used along with any fluid setup to ensure the results are realistic, these results can then be analysed to optimise the design. These simulations are suitable for small prototypes up to large scale industrial processes and we will work closely with you and your application to give you the most accurate data possible.
Below is a convection example of a 200 Watt heat lamp in air at room temperature. The lamp is made of steel with a glass bulb and is observed over 60 seconds to monitor the change in temperature throughout the bodies. The lamp shade heats up uniformly around the bulb from radiation, whereas the convection effects result in a hot point above the bulb as expected.
