- If your laser hits the ‘Laser losing zone’ first the other tower loses and you win.
- The intro and overview youtube video has a ‘Laser losing zone’ which is not representative of the 40mm zone that will be used in the competition.
- The M5 penny washer has an ID 5.2mm, OD 25mm, thickness 2mm.
- The mounting location can go wherever you like on the tower.
- We are not allowing bamboo. You can use any of the natural woods as per this link (not the ‘pseudowoods’ section!): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_woods
- The chain length is the length measured from where it connects to the inside point of the M20 washer to the base of the tower *minus 50mm*.
But for a scenario, where the chains don’t touch, for example, short vs short where the mounting points are both right at the back the shortfall gap between the chains will be made up by equal lengths added to each chain until they connect together in the minimum distance. - The lowest mounting location you are allowed in the starting position is 250mm and the highest is 600mm (Same as tower height)
- Replace ‘ways to win’ number 4 with: If we believe the other tower has intercepted your laser beam when it should be touching the ‘Laser losing zone’ then you will win. Also, if we believe the other tower has altered the direction of their laser beam when it shouldn’t be touching the ‘Laser losing zone’ then you will win.
